Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-10. Last updated: 2026-05-10.
1. Who we are
This website (hostcraft.io) is operated by JCR Computers Pty Ltd (ABN registered in NSW, Australia), trading as JCR Computers. Our registered office is in Rouse Hill, NSW, Australia. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this marketing site.
This policy covers the HostCraft marketing site only. It does not cover the HostCraft control panel software itself, which has its own documentation and terms.
2. What information we collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to operate this site:
- Email address. If you submit your email through our "Join the waitlist" form, we add it to a launch waitlist stored with Cloudflare, together with the form you used, the time, and a one-way hash of your IP address that we use only to limit repeated signups. Providing your email is voluntary.
- Panel hostname. If you use the sign-in page to reach your panel, the hostname you type is used only in your browser to construct a redirect URL. It is never sent to our servers.
- Server logs. Cloudflare Pages, which hosts this site, automatically records standard access logs including IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, and the pages requested. We use these logs for security monitoring and abuse prevention.
We do not use tracking cookies on this site. Cloudflare may set its own anti-bot cookies (such as __cf_bm) as part of its security infrastructure. Those cookies are governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
We may add privacy-respecting analytics in future and will update this policy if we do.
3. How we use your information
- Launch updates. Email addresses collected via signup forms are used to send product launch announcements, pricing updates, and related communications. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.
- Support. If you contact us at [email protected], we use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry.
- Security and abuse prevention. Server log data helps us identify and block malicious traffic and meet our legal obligations.
- Legal compliance. We may process your information where required by Australian law or to defend legal claims.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the following sub-processors who help us operate this site:
- Cloudflare Pages. Hosts this website and provides DDoS protection and CDN services. Cloudflare processes server log data on our behalf.
- SMTP2GO. Handles outbound transactional email (for example, any confirmation or update emails we send to subscribers). Email addresses are passed to SMTP2GO solely for delivery purposes.
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of JCR Computers, our users, or the public.
5. Retention
We retain your email address until you unsubscribe, or for 24 months following your last interaction with us, whichever comes first. After that period we delete it from our active lists.
Cloudflare server logs are retained according to Cloudflare's own retention schedule, which is outside our direct control. We do not export or store server logs separately beyond any period required for security investigations.
6. Your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to:
- Access. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate or out-of-date information.
- Deletion. Request that we delete your personal information, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it.
- Unsubscribe. Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
All data in transit is protected by TLS. Data at rest is encrypted where our sub-processors support it. We do not store passwords on the marketing site (there are no user accounts).
No transmission over the internet is completely secure. We take reasonable steps to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
This site is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. International transfers
JCR Computers is based in Australia. Our sub-processors Cloudflare and SMTP2GO operate globally, meaning your data may be processed in countries outside Australia including the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure those processors handle your data in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify subscribers by email. Your continued use of this site after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at [email protected]. We will investigate and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
